Incredible Dogs
Years of Experience
Meet Your Guides
Chris and Dan have been hunting together locally since 2011. Their dedication to waterfowl extends beyond just hunting. They are co-founders of the Pittwaterfowlers which has been doing a wood duck nesting box conservation project since 2012. We support a large group of volunteers and host various homeschools and other organizations to see the conservation in action.
In addition to conservation, Chris and Dan offer crop protection for local farmers during the planting/growing seasons.
With over 40 years of duck hunting experience for Dan, and over 15 for Chris, you are in experienced hands no matter who you are with.

Meet Your Dogs
Dogs are the number one tool in a duck hunter’s arsenal and we have two great ones!
Dan has a 7-year-old female black lab named Buddi. Don’t let her size fool you. This speedy firecracker has learned to handle any sized bird with her patented “Spock grip” and is an amazing marker of downed birds on her own.
Chris has a 5-year-old male German Wirehaired Pointer named Arrow. At 90lbs he is a powerhouse. Another good marker, his tall frame makes short work of any terrain and they don’t make birds too big for him!
Both dogs are very friendly and playful before the hunt, but during the hunt, they are ALL business. They LIVE for this!
If you’ve never hunted over a good dog, you will be forever changed once you do. If you have, you will appreciate the efforts of either of these two teammates. For many, this will be the highlight of the hunt!

No. For safety reasons we ask you leave your pooch at home for the hunt. Our dogs are trained to stay outside the blind in their own concealed kennels to avoid congestion in the blind.
Steel or non-toxic shot is required to hunt waterfowl. #2’s are a good all-round choice for shot size for ducks.
If your shooting is less than stellar, this can be an issue. We suggest you bring at least two boxes.
From time to time, parts can wear out, or issues can arise with our tools. Proper care and maintenance can help prevent this, but it does happen. In the event of this, the guide will do everything in their power to find a resolution.
